The Bay 21 is a superb recreational single shellA joy to row - responsive and runs out beautifully!
The Bay 21

The Bay 21 Open Water Rowing Shell has been developed by Paul R. Harvey, longtime open-water racer and president of Bay Shells, Inc. along with Bill Tytus, the owner of George Pocock Racing Shells, and noted flat-water sculling coach. The Bay 21 Rowing Shell combines the light weight and quick response of a racing shell with the sturdy seaworthiness of an open-water racing craft.

Peak Performance
Lightweight and responsive, the Bay 21’s unique design gives the sculler unprecedented, abundant ‘run’ with each stroke. Stable, fast, and satisfying, the Bay 21 Open Water Rowing Shell also provides beginning to advanced recreational rowers plenty of challenge and growth to keep rowing interesting.

Legendary Craftsmanship
The Bay 21 is the product of a triumphant design collaboration of Bay Shells and Pocock Racing Shells. Each Bay shell is superbly crafted by Pocock Shells, known for building world-class racing shells.

Mobility: Up and Away! Light and easy to handle, the Bay 21 Rowing Shell weighs under 40 pounds fully rigged—and only 32 pounds with riggers detached. The black anodized aluminum wing riggers take a quick two minutes to attach. Easy to store, the Bay 21’s twenty-one foot length fits in most garages and carports. Its sleek ‘deck-in’ design provides a rigid hull line, conveniently providing for both upside-down storage and transport on car-top racks.
